New challenges for education

New Challenges for education Ahead - The world of science is trying to use Technology based on Artificial Intelligence. The times have come where technology serves technology. What will this end with? This is something we can't exactly predict yet. Artificial Intelligence, ChatGPT presents new challenges, but also potentially new risks. Something that was originally intended by its creators to support us may turn out to be some kind of threat to us. This is not about AI taking control of our lives - although in some areas it seems quite possible.

New Challenges for education can introduce new problems. Humanity sees them primarily as an opportunity to increase its efficiency, its productivity. But how much more can be gained from raising efficiency? In Nature, limits cannot be pushed indefinitely. We don't know of any such cases. This means that we may have to pay a debt in the near future for naive "thinking" about flat perceptions of solutions such as ChatGPT. Why?

ChatGPT is able to write an essay for us, make a presentation, find a piece of code that will be optimal for our designed software. Some solutions of this type are able to do graphic design or compose music for a computer game. In a word - Artificial Intelligence is also entering the domain of art - something that was until now an exclusive Attribute of Man. Art distinguished nations, cultures, gave solace to the senses, emotions, or stimulated them.

It seems that now, with the help of Artificial Intelligence, anyone can be a designer, composer, writer, or any other creator in the field of Art. Ok. It can be argued that this is a kind of New Challenges, a certain proposal for Humanity - a new quality, New Challenges for education too. And the consequences? If man gives up all areas of his life - even those areas that constitute his humanity, then what will distinguish us in nature from the Reality around us - the digital Reality?

If we use AI in an unreflective way, we may lose some of our humanity. Our sensitivity will be destroyed. Societies will begin to see individuals who can confidently be classified as the "cyber-idiots" generation. This means that slowly our civilization will lose certain attributes of humanity. We will not be able to develop tastes in the future, an opinion on what attracts us in art. We will lose our sensitivity to art. We will lose our sense of taste.

Taking this a step further, it could mean that by relying on the "choices and suggestions" of artificial intelligence, humans may lose the desire for emotional development that undoubtedly accompanies the process of creating art. Such potential dangers are already noticeable, especially in education, where some students prefer to use ChatGPT to write an essay, rather than develop their writing skills. In a word, perhaps such solutions, which are supposed to create new challenges, will have a dysfunctional impact on societies' educational processes. This means that society will focus on "producing" recipients rather than developing leaders and creators.

So do we need to change our attitude to the new challenges? It seems that the process of education in the reality of virtual reality must undergo some changes in order to make it more effective and educate people to use such solutions consciously. This seems quite difficult, since the creators of these solutions themselves do not know exactly what to expect from their inventions.

If we don't start researching the topic, we won't be aware of the potential and risks that AI can bring to the field of education. This means that the intellectual stratification between people will become even worse. Today, for the time being, we observe two teenagers sitting next to each other and communicating via a smartphone. The destruction of social relationships is happening. It's time to change this - starting with new challenges for education.
